Dental Awareness Movement

The mission of the Dentists Who Care movement is to spread the message of preventive care to children. Our goal is to stop dental decay and develop trusting relationships between children and dentistry by increasing dental awareness.

Founders of the movement are Dr. McHenry “Mac” Lee and Joleen Jackson, authors of the popular “Nothin’ Personal Doc, But I Hate Dentists” book. They are experts in explaining complicated dental techniques in simple, everyday language. They have developed products that others can use to simplify dentistry for adults and children alike.

Membership is free to dentists who care about making a difference in their own community. Downloadable PowerPoint Presentations and other educational aids are a part of the membership benefits and are available for free to members who want to speak at organizations like Rotary, Lions, PTA, religious groups etc. These presentations show the reality of Early Childhood Caries (ECC) and the need to make a difference. When dental professionals, educators and civic leaders work together, the possibilities are endless.
